  1. ok so i have to know…these delicious lunches wrapped in brown paper that always appear on your weekend eats – is it food you prepare at home and bring out with you or food you buy from a vendor/restaurant??

  2. So weird, we made turkey pozole with leftovers as well. We watched a lot of Food network this weekend and the in-laws and there was a Bobby Flay version and a Rachel Ray version I think that inspired me for the concoction I turned out. It was mighty good too!

  3. Julia,

The sandwiches come from the place with the blackboard menu in the fifth photo. A local restaurant, Chez Pascal, has a lunch truck that sets up at different places in the city. On Saturdays, it’s outside the farmers market, so we grab a sandwich on our way in.

    Andrea – Thank you 🙂

Julia – As my husband said, they’re from the Hewtin’s Dogs Mobile food truck. We are so lucky that some of the best chefs in town create casual food as well as their more elegant fare. Delicious stuff!

    alec – Thanks!

Liz – Great minds! Pozole is one of my favorite ways to remix leftovers.

    Joan – Thank you!

  5. Jennifer, honestly, your photography even brings out the ‘beauty’ in dirty dishes- i mean i dont know what to say except- fan-bleddy-tastic. utterly gorgeous.
