Great stuff as always! Is that the final version of your eggplant dish? I like the simple presentation and the caramelization on the eggplant. Gorgeous.
It all looks very delicious. Nothing better (IMHO) than steak & potatoes. But a fine ceaser or bread & cheese are also fantastic.
Honestly- you make me want to eat eggs until they are coming out of my ears ! there is no sexier food shot than a nice runny yolk just waiting to be sopped up by something interesting. Thanks for making me hungry, per usual !
The fried chicken looks…..amazing. I just checked it out on Food52 and the method is brilliant! I’ll definitely be trying you guys’ method the next time I make some.
I was also wondering if you had some advice — I want to make baked beans or stovetop beans to accompany a BBQ’d pork shoulder, and I was looking at Rancho Gordo. Do you have a favorite type for this kind of application?
Thank you!
o, look at all the beautiful food…I actually cooked last night for the first time in weeks but I think I would have preferred to be at your place.
Deelicious! Going over to Dietsch now to look for the Aviation. Those chiles look fantastic.
Sean – It is, but we actually liked the first version better in the end!
nevis – Thanks!
Jamie – Can you tell I love eggs? They’re one of my favorite things to eat, and to photograph 🙂
Johanna – Mike really has a winner with that chicken, I think. It was even delicious the next day, cold! As for beans, I think you can’t go wrong with anything Rancho Gordo, though for baked I would go with something like a pinto (that’s what I used for my maple-chipotle pot beans pictured above).
Kira – We need to get you back here for dinner soon 🙂
Marie – Thank you! 😀
All of these eats look scrumptious. I am, however, most curious about the cheese and baguette. That’s my kind of snack.
