You guys are amazing. I have had the best time over the weekend reading your comments, visiting your own sites and some of the others that you’re reading that were new to me. Thank you. Thank you so much.

  1. absolutely beautiful as always, especially that salad, i will definately have to do a version of it! i would love to know how you make your smoked makeral pate, and those delicious iced coffees… black iced coffee is close to impossible to get here, and i’ve never had the courage to make my own…

  2. Wow……haven’t heard of the Yacht Cola. Where’d you find that and how’d it work out in the Cuba Libre? It’s funny because just yesterday I did an essay on the Cuba Libre on my blog ( http://boozeburgersandbeats.com/2009/08/03/cocktail-of-the-week-the-ultimate-cuba-libre/) which I find to be my favorite highball of all. And what can beat that in the summer. The sliders look amazing as well. When you guys were in NYC did you ever visit Mr. Kenny Shopsin and get to try his and his son’s Zack’s sliders?

  3. Maximilian, Yacht Club is a company local to the Providence area. I suspect its availability is strictly regional. I liked it quite well in the Cuba Libre; like the brands you suggest in your article, it’s made from cane sugar, not from HFCS. I think Boylan’s makes a better Cuba Libre than does the Yacht Club, but not dramatically so. I’ll have to try the GUS some time; I love the products of theirs that I’ve tried.
