In September of 2009, I was interviewed for a New York Times article about my participation with food52. My winning pork burger recipe appeared in the paper, and the piece also ran in the Providence Journal the following week. (And then my face lined cages all along the east coast, but I try not to dwell on that.)
Two of my recipes were pubished in the Winter 2009 issue of EdibleRhody – you can view them here. I also wrote up our 100 Mile Thanksgiving meal from 2009 for EdibleRhody, which appears in the Fall 2010 issue, and two of my recipes appeared in the Fall 2011 issue.
In September 2010, I was filmed as part of a segment for a Food Network Canada production, “Eat St.”, which focuses on the growing food truck scene around the country. I was interviewed about Providence’s own Hewtin’s Dogs Mobile truck. The episode aired in the US on Cooking Channel as “Surf and a Slice.”
My recipe for Borrachos was included in an interactive feature of readers’ potluck recipes curated by Amanda Hesser and Merrill Stubbs for the New York Times Magagzine in October 2010. I was also honored and delighted to be mentioned in Amanda’s article in the NYT Magazine’s annual food issue (under my food52 handle, lastnightsdinner).
